In November 2011, CIC introduced a long-term temporary resident visa for applicants seeking to visit their child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. The single or multiple-entry Canada super visa allows parents/grandparents to stay for a period of up to two years.
Requirements for Super Visa:
- Child / Grandchild MUST be a Permanent Resident / Citizen of Canada.
- The sponsor MUST meet the Low-Income Requirements.
- Private medical insurance from a Canadian Company for one year.
